A shipment of new tools and repair stands came in on Tuesday. We now have capacity for four people to be working on stands. The blank side of the shelving unit has had the new tools hung on it to service the new stands. Everything has been outlined and shadowed so it's more clear where tools are to be put back, and they're labeled with their names so you can learn them easier! We recently also stocked our supply of tapes, spray bottles, and rags, a whole bag of which was donated by Allison. I was so happy to see it! Thanks Allison!!
NTSS is benefiting from strong leadership this year, and their presence will be felt, in good ways, in the shop over the Winter. They cleaned out the back room and Community Spokes saw some rewards. We got the most perfect metal cabinet, which we will use to store small parts and other things that come up! A new desk with drawers adorns the shop, and a handy-dandy towel rack was installed, to hold towels for washed hands only.
Furthermore, winter is coming. Gears will shift to helping people winterize their bike, for which purpose we bought a special grease which has a temperature range down to -43 degrees Celsius. Slap it on! The door will remain closed and the heaters put on! We're also going to spend a lot of the winter time building bikes for when Spring comes. It's a great way to volunteer and learn more about bike mechanics.
Don't forget to put your name on the sign-in sheet, and sign up for the Winter Wolves cycling club. See you in the shop!
